Challenge

The Challenge has been issued!

Check out how this local chapter in Dubuque County is getting involved with their communities and supporting local efforts through their Hunting Heritage Banquet. Chapter President, Jeff timmerman has issued this challenge to other chapters to get involved with their communities as well. Great Job Guys !!!

The Dubuque Big Tom Ridge Runners held their Annual Heritage Foundation Banquet on Saturday, March 8th in Dubuque, IA. They encouraged attendees to bring a can good along in exchange for a free general raffle ticket in support of the Dubuque Rescue Mission. Jeff Timmerman, Jay Remy, and Tom Griesinger are shown here delivering the food to the Dubuque Rescue Mission Kitchen Manager, Russ Wanke. Russ commented “The Dubuque Rescue Mission serves over 4000 meals per month and we are very appreciative of the donation and the nice gesture.” The Big Tom Ridge Runners committee would like to challenge other chapters to do the same thing. NWTF Goals and Objectives

The National Wild Turkey Federation is dedicated to the conservation of American wild turkeys and the preservation of the hunting tradition. The NWTF has established extensive conservation programs to improve and protect wild turkey habitat, to increase the number and distribution of wild turkeys, and to assist corporate and individual land managers. The NWTF also offers its members a variety of education materials and programs. Hunter safety materials are available to all members, and the JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics, and Sportsmanship) program for NWTF members 17 and under, and Women in the Outdoors program are designed to increase public awareness of wild turkey conservation and to increase and ensure participation in the wild turkey hunting tradition.
