NWTF Iowa Board of Directors Statement of Support
Since 1985, NWTF volunteers have spent more than $4.6 million on NWTF projects in Iowa. In addition to purchasing land for public hunting, we have enhanced wild turkey habitat, conducted education seminars and held events to introduce women, youth and people with disabilities to hunting, conservation and the outdoors.
However, in spite of past successes, change in any organization is unavoidable. It is therefore the desire of the Iowa State Chapter of NWTF to express support for the direction in which the NWTF is currently headed. By unanimous resolution approved at our meeting held on July 13, the Board of Directors of the Iowa State Chapter of NWTF voted to publicly state our support of George Thornton, CEO of NWTF, the National Board of Directors and the entire NWTF staff. We feel confident that the NWTF will continue to be the finest conservation organization under his new leadership.
The Iowa State Board is looking forward to working with Mr. Thornton and his new management team to make the NWTF an even better organization for promoting conservation and the preservation of our hunting heritage both at the state and national level.
Sincerely,
Gary Reeder
President
